Fremont Tribune, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 OBITUARIES Robert Agress Robert H. "Bob" Agress, 85, of North Bend, formerly of Fremont, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Arbor Manor in Fremont. Robert was born June 30, 1927, in Louisville, to Benjamin and Edith (Sherman) Agress. He lived in Chicago and was a graduate of South Shore High School. He graduated from the University of Louisville with an accounting degree.
Robert served in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He moved to Fremont in the 1970s. He married Sharon Farris Prinz on April 16, 1982, in Lincoln. Robert had been employed at Parker Livestock, Agress Aaron Corporation and Darling Interna- Robert Agress Agress tional as a CPA and retired as a controller in 1997.
He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in North Bend and member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. He served as an EME taking communion to people at home and to hospital patients.
He was a member of the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy, American Contract Bridge League and League Life Master, and American Legion Post 20 of Fremont. He was a volunteer tax preparer for the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; stepson, Kevin (and wife, Paula) Prinz of Fremont; stepdaughters, Pam (and husband, Kelly) Lehmann of Eustis, Ann (and husband, Jim) Mathes of Omaha and Deb (and husband, Dave) Campbell of Fremont; mother Evelyn Farris of Fremont; inlaws, Gary (and wife, Terri) Farris of Pensacola, Mag (and husband, Larry) Meier of South Sioux City, Bill (and wife, Kris) Farris of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Nancy Farris of Omaha; numerous step grandchildren and stepgreatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother -inlaw, Robert "Chick" Farris. The funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont with the Rev. David Belt officiating. Visitation with the family receiving friends will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
A Knights of Columbus rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. The military graveside service will be conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 854 and American Legion Post 20.. Online condolences may be left at www.moser memorialchapels.com. David Heywood David H. Heywood, 68, of Snyder died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha. He was born May 21, 1944, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Her- prevention programs and Junior Fire Patrol. His biggest honor was serving as president of the Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighters Association (NSVA) in 2012, and he was currently serving as District 2 director of the same association and also served as president of Northeast Volunteer Firefighters Association.
He served on the town board and was a former mayor of Snyder. He coached softball and baseball, as well as being the secretary and treasurer of the Dodge County Baseball Association. Survivors include: his wife, Gerri; sons, Todd (Becca) Heywood of Omaha, Tim (Chris) Heywood of Dodge and Matt Heywood of Omaha; daughter, Jillian (Jason) Oltman of Denton; sister, Janet (Vern) Heller of Atkinson; brother, Paul (Mary Lou) Heywood of Fremont; sisters- and brothers-in-law; and 10 grandchildren. The funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St.
Leo's Catholic Church in Snyder with the Rev. Don Cleary officiating. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. today at the church with a rosary at 7 p.m. Burial will be in St.
Leo's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Snyder Volunteer Fire Department, Nebraska State Firefighters Museum or Snyder Over 60 Center. On July 15, 1967, he married Gerri Emanuel in North Bend. He worked as an accountant at Smeal Manufacturing, then at Danko Emergency Equipment, for a combined 48 years. Merrick Manor in Fremont. She was born Aug. 27, 1919, in Oakland, Iowa, to Edson and Anna Ethel (Thayer) Parrick. She grew up in Oakland and moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa, in the 1960s. She moved to Osage Beach, and then returned to Oakland, Iowa.
She then moved to Oakland, in 1999 and to Fremont in 2002 where she resided at Shalimar Gardens. After her husband's death, she moved to A.J. Merrick Manor. She was a former member of Valley View Baptist Church in Council Bluffs. Mary Parrick married Arthur Brown on June 8, 1940, in Council Bluffs.
He died Aug. 3, 2003. Survivors include: sons, Richard (and wife, Jane) Brown of Fremont, James Brown (and wife, Janet Nesmith) of Omaha and William (and wife, Flo) Brown of Louisburg, sister, Viola (and husband, Lynel) Killion of Pueblo West, four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 16 great -grandchildren; several stepgreat -grandchildren; and two great- great- grandchildren. There are no services planned. Interment will take place at a later date at Farm Creek Cemetery in Henderson, Iowa.
Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements. Urban Moeller He was born Moeller Moeller Urban "Mike" Moeller, 92, of Scribner died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at St. Francis MemoHospital in West Point. Aug.
26, 1920, in rural Hooper to Alfred and Anna (Mueller) Moeller. He attended District 16 School in rural Hooper and moved to Scribner in 1939. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942-1945. He spent his life farming until his retirement in the mid-1990s but continued to spend a lot of time in his garden.
A huge fan of baseball, he played for the Scribner town team and never missed a game on TV. He was a member of American Legion Post 121 in Scribner and St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner. He is survived by a brother, Delbert Moeller of Scribner; and 14 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Ortmeier and Marcella Tienken; and two brothers, Bernell Moeller and Roland Moeller.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner with the Rev. Bruce Schut officiating. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m.

Mary Niebur Mary Alice Niebur, 80, of Fremont died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Pathfinder House surrounded by loving family members. She was born Jan. 22, 1933, in Norfolk to Walter "Swede" and Florence (McGrane) Rees.
She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Norfolk and attended Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa. She married Ervin D. Niebur on June 18, 1955, in Norfolk and resided there until moving to Fremont in 1966. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Erv; her children, Jay (and wife, Patrice) Niebur of Lincoln, Scott Niebur of Las Vegas and Susan (and husband, Alan) Cox of Birmingham, four grandchildren, Platt and Drew Niebur, Madelon and Owen Cox; and one great- granddaughter, Penelope Niebur. She was preceded in death by her parents and twin brothers, Daniel and Donald Rees. A memorial service is being planned for a later date. "Ginnie" Begley Faubel, 89, of Fremont died Friday, March 1, 2013, at Fremont Area Medical Center. She was born Konsel in Cuming Begley Faubel Begley Faubel Oct. 27, 1923, to Frank and Bessie (Stanek) County near Howells. She attended District 51 country school and graduated from Howells High School in 1941. In 1947, Virginia married Jack Begley in Howells.
After attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, she graduated in 1974 with a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Waterloo in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Throughout her life, she taught in Cuming County, Kansas City, and Kitchener. After Jack Begley's death in 1983, Virginia married Donald Faubel and the couple settled in Fremont. Survivors include: her daughter, Bridget Disney of Omaha; daughter-in-law, Donna Begley of Albuquerque, N.M.; stepdaughters, Sheryl Faubel and Connie (Carl) Waltham, both of Omaha; sister-in-law, Elsie Konsel of Howells; one grandchild; two stepgrandchildren; and a great -grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husbands, a brother, a sister, a stepson and son.
The memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Howells with the Rev. Leo Rigatuso officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church.
